In 2008, Elspeth moved to Cape Cod and started her career in radio with two seemingly simple questions: Who feeds us here? And what is there to eat? Armed with a hand-held Marantz recorder and the support of acclaimed public radio producers Jay Allison and Viki Merrick of Atlantic Public Media, Elspeth set out to get to know her new home through the lens she knew and loved best: food. Every week for the past 15+ years, Elspeth has interviewed local food producers, harvesters, processors, cooks, policymakers and visionaries—and in the process, has helped lead the movement to reconnect us to the people, places, and ideas that feed us.
