The Local Food Report

A weekly feature on CAI, the Cape and Islands NPR Station

The world of food is changing, fast.

Elspeth moved to the Cape in 2008 with a question: What is there here to eat? Ever since each week on the Local Food Report, she and editor Viki Merrick have been getting answers. Together Elspeth and Viki take us to the heart of the local food movement to talk with growers, harvesters, processors, cooks, policy makers, and visionaries. As our culture reimagines our relationship to food, Elspeth and Viki work to rebuild our cultural stores of culinary knowledge—and to reconnect us with the people, places, and ideas that feed us.

The Local Food Report airs weekly on CAI, the Cape and Islands NPR Station. Produced by Atlantic Public Media in Woods Hole, the show can be heard Thursdays at 8:35 AM and 5:45 PM and Saturdays at 9:35 AM on 90.1, 91.1, and 94.3FM and is made possible by a group of committed sponsors. Tips from listeners are always welcome.
