In collaboration with our local District Fire Warden Josh Nigro, CommonsKeepers is hosting a hybrid in person and online Wildland Fire Training on the Outer Cape. Participants will be required to complete online coursework in advance of the January 16 & 17 in-person training days and, following a pack test in the spring, will attain their Wildland Firefighter Type 2 Certification.

This certification enables you both to go on prescribed burns and become an entry level wildland firefighter. In addition to the January 16 & 17 training at the Truro Fire Department, CommonsKeepers will be hosting an optional opening dinner and fire ceremony on the evening of the 15th, and a fire ecology walk, brunch and medicine making workshop on the morning of the 18th.
