How to cut your food waste (and your grocery bill)

I read in the spring of 2018 that for an American family of four, the average value of discarded produce is nearly $1,600 a year. Around the same time, my husband and I agreed to lose a big chunk of my income so that I could spend more time with our kids.

This is the story of what we learned along the way about the benefits of making do in the kitchen.
